Brief Intro

2E0 YLP – UK Amateur Radio Stationoperating from deep in the Northamptonshire countryside.

Home QTH is Towcester which is where I operatre for 90% of all my radio operations.  I am also a keen cyclist and frequently found on the local repeaters whilst road riding on my Felt F6 Carbon road bike.  When riding I tend to use one of my Yaesu FT2-D handhelds as I am lucky enough to be situated very close to GB3NP which is a Fusion repeater.  When operating from my QTH I use a Yaesu FT-991a and my trusty Yaesu FT-450D.

A few things I am ok’ish at

In amateur radio everyone finds their own little niche.  Here are some of mine:

Computing

During the day I run my own little IT Support company.  We cater entirely to small business within the Milton Keynes / Northampton area.

Pi-Star – Fusion

I do sepnd a lot of time using the Yaesu System Fusion via my Pi-Star Hotspot.  I have built several of these and have even used them while Mobile.

ISS Comunications

You can often find me sending up packets of data to the ISS.  You will see my callsign on the list, normally when there is a clear overhead pass of the ISS.

Latest News

Winter is approaching and the bike is now on the Turbo Trainer connected to Zwift, so if your a Zwifter, hit me up, we can ride together anytime!  Radio wise I am firmly entrenched in Pi-Star operations with occasional flurries across the local repeaters, GB3NP, GB3MK, and GB3TU.  I try and do as much HF work as I can, as and when the bands permit.  I am running a badly thrown up Half G5RV.
